Join the Carnival Mas Parade! Celebrate our community together!

Dance Ups is thrilled to announce that our workshop facilitator will be leading the dance for another carnival! We will be collaborating with an established mas band, wearing costumes or branded-shirts, to participate in the Notting Hill and Hackney Carnivals, with potential for exploring other locations across the UK. If you're interested in performing and being a part of the parade, we invite you to register your interest! Join us for an unforgettable celebration of dance and culture!

Here’s a list of locations in the UK where carnival mas parades are held:

 

  1. Notting Hill Carnival – London (the most famous and largest carnival in the UK, held in August).

  2. Hackney Carnival – London (celebrated in September with strong community participation).

  3. Bristol International Carnival – Bristol (typically part of St Paul’s Carnival, focusing on Afro-Caribbean culture).

  4. Leeds West Indian Carnival – Leeds (one of the oldest West Indian carnivals in the UK, held in August).

  5. Manchester Caribbean Carnival – Manchester (celebrated in August, based in Moss Side).

  6. Birmingham Caribbean Festival – Birmingham (including carnival-style parades and events).

  7. Luton International Carnival – Luton (held in May, showcasing global carnival traditions).

  8. Preston Caribbean Carnival – Preston (celebrated in June, focusing on Caribbean culture).
