About the event
Dance Ups: From Africa to Hackney – Dance and Culture is the final showcase of our Black History Season 2025 project. Following eight interactive workshops, young participants will perform a powerful and colourful presentation exploring the journey of African dance across the diaspora and its influence on Hackney today. The event brings together dance, culture, and community spirit, celebrating creativity, identity, and heritage. Families, friends, and the wider Hackney community are invited to enjoy this free evening of performance and storytelling.
